Why You Are Unhappy

Why You Are Unhappy Happiness is a feeling, this feeling is so expensive and uncommon – many spend their entire life chasing it but only few end up successful. It is that feeling when you know life is good, when the universe is smiling at you and supporting your steps – It is the direct opposite of sadness! This feeling is so comfortable and popular that it leaves no one behind, the rich and the poor, the employed and unemployed, the healthy and unhealthy, old or young – we are all familiar with it and desire it, to have it is simple but yet hard to come by. Many factors are connected to this pursuit and they are a determinant factor to the outcome of the pursuit. Satisfaction – Majority of us are guilty of this, we already have what could possibly make us happy but we have our eyes over the fence and desire more, in the process we embraced unhappiness as a result of our inability to be satisfied with what we already have. There is absolutely nothing wrong in having desire for

Failure Is Part of Success.

Failure Is Part of Success. Whenever you have accomplished a defined task or purpose, you have reached a success stage, in this part of the world, success is related to social status . When you have fame and wealth, you are automatically tagged as being successful. Failure on the other hand resides wherever success is lacking, anyone that is unsuccessful in whatever form, be it their inability to accomplish a task, a collapse of plan or a non-achiever in general. Here is the twist and the correlation between these two factors, they are actually related, you can’t have one without the other, in order to meet the favoured cousin – you must go through the unfortunate one. It’s just how life is designed; there is no shortcut about this. Failure is just a delayed process until the arrival of success. However, it’s just a process and under no circumstance should we as humans assume that failing a task is a blocker to our desire. On the contrary, that’s there to challenge h

Why You Are Stagnant – The Remedies.

Why You Are Stagnant – The Remedies. Fear – This enemy of progress lives in the mind and it’s also said to be the brain’s reaction to stimulus, as long as this fear finds a home in your mind then it controls every other part of your body, it finds its way into your head, raises the heart rate; and all these factors will work together to affect your thoughts, reactions, actions and speed. As human, it is normal and fine to be afraid, especially when we are in an unknown terrain or out of our comfort zone. Our personal ability to quickly identify that fear as an enemy not to be embraced, and then discharging it instantly would determine the next path for us. Many people are gifted with one talent or the other naturally but the fear in them is greater than the wall of Jericho, they have allowed that tiny fear to grow into a tumour and now they are being controlled by what they have allowed to grow out of hands.  Imagine many people that we know as friends or family

Nigerians In Diaspora And Their Misplaced Priorities – London As A Case Study.

Nigerians In Diaspora And Their Misplaced Priorities – London As A Case Study. Before you read this piece.  I am not just a Nigerian but someone that appreciates and embrace his culture, tradition and close to his people. Having lived outside Nigeria for nearly two decades and lived, worked in the midst of various tribes and nationals – it’s natural and easier to cross reference our actions and reactions. There is an epidemic going on amongst Nigerians in Diaspora – this is a widespread issue that’s not limited to the City of London but across the UK and Europe, from Manchester to Liverpool, from Bristol to Birmingham, Paris to Dublin, Milan to Amsterdam etc. I am sure the story won’t be any different in North America. African culture is a very unique and rich culture, just like how rich the Asian culture is – the influx of western culture into the continent of Africa has done more damages than good to Africans, same western culture has effect on the Asian culture but

To Find You - You Must Get Lost

To Find You - You Must Get Lost It’s not uncommon that we human are a like jellyfish around challenges. Once it’s evident that the result is not as expected the natural instinctive reaction is to jump ship and abandon the journey. We so much enjoy comfort that we usually forget the fact that it must be worked for in order to have it. No matter how little or huge a challenge is, the ultimate purpose is not to get you off the rail but the sole aim is to test your ability, strength and importantly weigh how much you really desire the prize and at what degree you are willing to endure the challenges and hardship to secure it. Majority of us have no clue what we are capable of until we get challenged with something beyond us. Surviving becomes the only option available to us and we will continue to strive to get out of that situation by giving it all it takes – during this process we will feel like we are lost in the wilderness and the world is against us. However, this is

Emeka, Danladi And Kunle In Their Pursuit Of Greatness - The Three Musketeers

Emeka, Danladi And Kunle In Their Pursuit Of Greatness - The Three Musketeers Emeka was born into an Igbo family from Enugu but his parents moved to Jos in Plateau State before he was born. His father is an Army officer at Rukuba Barracks in Jos while his mother is running a small palm-oil business at Jos Main Market. Danladi’s story is much related to that of his friend Emeka, he was born in Tudun Wada in Kano State but his parents had to move to his mother’s home of Langtang in Plateau State to oversee his maternal grandfather’s business on his demise. Kunle, on the other hand, was born in Lagos and lived in the state of Lagos all his life but the search for better education led him to the Federal College of Education, Pankshin in Plateau State where his path crossed with Emeka and Danladi. The college is located North-East of Jos and for convenience and considering it’s impossible to commute daily either from Jos town or Langtang, the young men had to
